What is kneippism?
Toward the end of the 19th century, Father Sebastian Kneipp's system of hydrotherapy and natural healing methods were known and practiced all over Europe as well as parts of the United States. Father Kneipps' healing methods is known today as kneippism. Kneippism is achieved through cold-warm-cold stimulation, which is the principle that the Golden Spoons is based upon.
Sebastian Kneipp was born in 1821, in Germany, in circumstances of poverty - the son of a humble weaver. While still a young man, studying for the priesthood, he contracted tuberculosis of the lungs - a fatal disease in those times. Like certain healers before and since, his therapy developed out of his own self-cure. Ordained as a priset, his frequent confrontations with physical and mental sufferings determined his future course as a healer.
Sebastian Kneipp was a simple village priest and lay doctor. Due to his efforts, the general public and the scientific world were introduces to a new form of health education in the form of a simple and natural way of life, and a naturopathic medicine.
What the Golden Spoons do for you, short and simple...
The cold-warm-cold stimulations triggers off a natural feedback that the cells, connective tissues and organs get better supply of blood, therefore the appropriate nutrition. The results of a good blood circulation is achieved through the warmth of the WARMER and massage, and then through subsequent use of the COOLER, namely a rhythmic expansion and contraction of blood vessels. A good blood flow is necessary for a healthy skin. Any immediate interence with blood flow is likely to result with pale and grayness. Long-term effects could be sagging, unhealthy, wrinkly skin.
